That's Perfect...
Perfection is when
technology meets your specific needs and the solution goes beyond your
expectations. Thompson Electronics Company provides expert design to
meet your video system needs and provide an extraordinary
solution.
Expert Design
Successful
systems realize the client's vision in a solution that gives innovative
answers to the
challenge. Capturing the client vision and committing it to paper is
the key in system design. Our designs create simple to operate and
easy to maintain systems. To accomplish expert design Thompson Electronics
Company invest in hightly- trained individuals who specialize in key
products
and markets.
Design Process
The successful operation of a new A/V system
is related directly to the quality of the installation. Thompson Electronics
Company will assure quality installations of the highest caliber. A
quality installation lowers life cycle costs by reducing the need for
service
calls or possibly premature product replacement and helps to guarantee
the system operates to its full potential.
Some design considerations:
- Projector selection - Measuring ambient
light for proper projector selection
- Calcuating throw distance based on projector
mounting and location
- Selecting
appropriate display device
- Calulating the proper screen size based on viewer distance and
material being viewed
Installation Standards
Preparation
Before we begin the on-site installation, a great deal of work is done in our
shop. Equipment racks are loaded and terminated, speaker clusters are assembled
and painted, and digital processing equipment is programmed. Performing this
work in a controlled environment assures the systems are assembled correctly
and according to factory standards. Assembly in the shop also helps to reduce
the amount of on-site work required. In doing so, the change-over-period to
the new system is much shorter, reducing travel and overnight expenses.
Quality
Once assembled, electronics are tested and "burned-in." With many
of today's electronic components, failure is most common in the first 24-48
hours of operation. The burn-in period allows us to catch potentially defective
equipment prior to the on-site installation. This helps to assure successful
operation of the system and a quality installation.
Experience and Knowledge
Key factors in assuring proper installation are
compliance with standards and the training of installation staff.
| Certifications
Held by TEC Specialist and Technicians |
- BA in Audio & Acoustics
- CTS, Certified Technology Specialist designated
by ICIA
- NICET I, II
- C-EST, Certified Electronics Systems Technician
|
Our A/V systems technicians are NICET & C-EST
certified and have the field experience to test, troubleshoot and certify
all systems for the highest quality performance. We employ union IBEW
and Electronic System Technicians that are trained specifically in
the installation of Professional Sound & Video Systems.
Thompson Electronics is dedicated to continuing education and each technician
receives additional training each year, including product specific factory
training.
Growth Potential
The installation process does not end
when the on-site work is complete. Engineered CAD drawings are assembled
to show the system's configuration. These computer generated drawings
make future repairs easy to diagnose. Complete in-service training is
provided to make sure the customer understands how to use the system.
Owner manuals are provided that include product literature and step-by-step
instructions. The operator can consult these manuals with simple questions.
