New Inspection tool helps Thompson Electronics Company

The Fire Alarm and Inspection Teams will begin using a new tool for fire alarm inspections to better serve our customers. In the new system each fire alarm device in a facility is scanned using a PDA with built-in barcode scanner. After the initial set up for each customer’s location, the inspectors will be able to survey the building’s devices. All information is downloaded into a web based storage site.

The customer will be able to access the report as soon as the tech has completed their inspection. The report gives specific details on service work that may need to be completed to comply with NFPA codes and standards. The suggested service work is linked to the NFPA codes for detailed explanation of compliance.
