Acoustically Challenging
Like most facilities of this nature, a sound system for this room is
acoustically challenging. The large volume and many hard reflective
surfaces add to create a significant reverberation time. The seating
arrangement changes also needed to be considered in the design of
the installation. Knowing the complexity of a project like this TEC
arranged for the technical expertise of the Audio Systems Group (ASG).
ASG was hired to do a complete acoustical study of space. Based on
the results of the study, recommendations were made for a new system
that would provide maximum intelligibility, consistent coverage and the
highest level of fidelity affordable.
