Outdated System - Needs Analysis
In the needs analysis of Asbury United Methodist Church we found the main speaker cluster had stopped functioning, the wiring was in disarray, and the local AM radio station came through loud and clear whenever the choir microphones were used. Minor modifications had been made to the system over time, however these changes acted as nothing more than a band-aid. In order to rectify the problem the congregation made the necessary commitment to replace the entire system. The upgrade included the complete replacement of the speaker system, new supporting electronics, repair of existing wiring problems, and the needed foundation to accommodate a growing music ministry.

Redesign Solution
A new state of the art digital processor was used for signal processing. This single unit provided equalization, active crossover, dynamic control, and signal delay. The technician calibrated the unit for adjustment within an optimal range. This guarantees the system will be functioning to its fullest potential week after week. Additional amplification was also provided allowing the system the headroom required for dynamic music reproduction. A great deal of "cleaning up" was required. The existing wiring was straightened out to make future repairs quicker and easier. Interference from the local AM station was also eliminated.
